The Los Angeles School of Music provides fun and convenient music lessons in the student's home or the teacher's home-studio. Founded in 2014 by husband-and-wife team, Matt and Alana, who know that music education should be an important part of every child's life (after all, we have three kids of our own!). Alana personally matches you with the best teacher in your area. Our teachers have taught with programs such as Youth Orchestra LA, Young Musician's Foundation, Orange County School of Arts, and Harmony Project, and performed with the LA Phil with Dudamel, the LA Master Chorale, and at venues like the Hollywood Bowl and Disney Hall. We offer lessons on piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, songwriting, clarinet, oboe, and more! Students stay motivated with monthly performances and end-of-semester recitals.

My son (6yrs old) has been taking piano lessons with Chelsea for the past year. This is his first experience with music lessons and it has been wonderful. Chelsea has been a caring, careful, and patient teacher. She is always laughing through the lessons, and makes my son feel so comfortable and relaxed. He looks forward to his lessons, and has been so happy to learn how to play songs. He plays for family and friends, and loved participating in his first recital. He has gone from no music experience to learning the grand staff and where to put his fingers in the past year. We appreciate the ease with which the music school works, using paypal, email, and the teacher coming to our house. It has really been a wonderful first year of lessons and we expect to continue.
